"The conversation and the question"
Prior to launching Conquer Studios, I have had past conversations with gym owners, business owners, bloggers and people who want start there own show. The general question I get asked is:
"Why start a podcast and how do I go about starting one?"
In a nutshell, a podcast is a great way to show your personality through another form of media outside the realm of conventional social media (wordpress, Instagram, Facebook, etc)
If you're a gym owner, instead of a monthly newsletter or mass email. You can have a gym podcast and interview your members and talk about the current happens of your gym and future programming.
If you're a nutritional blogger, you can talk about your favorite recipes or recipes that you have in the works and ask your listeners for feedback about your creations.
- Or if you're a person like me and want to interact more with the company you keep and get new perspectives about a subject you didn't know much about before. It's a great educational tool.
"Start with an idea and lay out the blueprint"
Coming up with an idea and putting a blueprint in place for your show is all easy and can be as professional as you want it to be. But, finding the gear and having the technical knowledge can come down to hours of online searching and a trial and error process. I want to eliminate that for you and help you along your way to start your new show or give advice on where to begin.
If you have followed us from the beginning, you will know that we have gone through a lot of changes as a business and as a podcast. We started with an iPad and the built in microphone - to a full studio with a vast knowledge of what works and what doesn't for different types of podcasts. In the past, some episodes have been lost and some episodes have been split in half because of computer storage issues. (that's where the trial and error process comes in)
